This place and barista are my vibe. We left Harless & Hugh around the corner because we were uncomfortable. Immediately upon entering Legacy, the barista Nola, made us feel welcome. She was patient & helpful while we decided what to eat/ drink and she made excellent drinks! I recommend the cookie bar and bagels. Mmmmm

Such a lovely spot! Warm, welcoming, and full of charm. It’s refreshing to walk into a coffee shop with real personality and heart. The staff is always kind and attentive, and I’ve had nothing but great experiences. The drinks are delicious and priced just as you'd expect from a quality café. You can tell a lot of love goes into everything here. Most of all, it’s a space that feels genuinely inclusive and welcoming to all kinds of people. Some people might prefer their coffee shops a little more sterile or impersonal, but I personally love the warmth and individuality here. I’ll absolutely be coming back again and again.

It’s been 2 years since we visited Bay City and came here. Legacy coffee and desserts are just as delicious as we remembered. My husband loves that the drip black coffee is hit and strong. I love their specialty turmeric lattes. The current one is coconut. Because they make their own syrup it is less overpoweringly sweet and more flavorful. Delicious! Their strawberry lemon bar was tangy and soooo good.

Legacy is by far one of my favorite local coffee shops. Not only are the drinks great but the baked goods are phenomenal. If you haven't had one of their parm bagels yet your missing out! And on top of all that the staff are always welcoming and helpful with drink recommendations.

Legacy is one of my favorite coffee shops to visit. They have the best iced lattes, bagels, baked goods, and vibes. The atmosphere is so calm and relaxed! The employees are always friendly and kind. They’ve gone out of their way to be helpful many times when I have visited. Once when I spilled my latte all over their rug, the barista cleaned it up and made me feel not so bad for spilling all over. I love this shop and will continue to visit as often as I can!

Legacy is such a cute spot to get coffee and a snack. I had a spronic (espresso + tonic water) and my partner had a raspberry latte. We also grabbed a chia pudding!! Excellent choices for coffee lovers, while having a ton of pound cakes, doughnuts, and other baked treats. Can’t wait to go back, as they posted that they’ll have fresh cut flowers from Regent Floral & Mercantile for sale!!

To my fellow coffee enthusiasts. You want to visit this. Not for the ambiance which is expansive, inviting, yet relaxing at the same time. Not for the food because as a vegan my options were between a rosemary and an everything bagel with vegan cream cheese. Not because of the merch: paintings, sweatshirts, hats, flowers, rings, bracelets, etc. but because THEY MAKE THEIR OWN SYRUPS. AND THEY’RE DELICIOUS. In a world of coffee shops acting as resellers with none of their own essence inserted into the goods they sell, because everything is purchased: pastries, bagels, coffee, milk, syrups, etc. THIS PLACE. THIS PLACE puts their heart and soul in really standing out, putting effort into making their own flavor, showing the care and thoughtfulness in truly being a concept, a unique idea in a field of resellers. I tried the Excited Goat and thought it was ok without syrups as they all come in a purchased bottle with zero personality. But Legacy? Personality. Effort. Care. In an America where everything is pre purchased and resold, this place evokes the ideology of old, creating things from scratch. And I love it. Truly. Great job! And the vanilla flavor is delicious.
